TTS 2010 Wrap-Up
Once again we had a successful show! Attendance was
approximately 4800 over the course of the two days. Occasional light rain
on Saturday did not materially affect us, but the very windy, cold, and damp
weather Sunday morning probably affected attendance. The sun did come out
briefly on Sunday to allow a few hours of outside running by Dave Gehrke and his
crew for the kids at the show!
PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD for favorite layout went to the Kenosha
group's LEGO layout; it was popular with the kids. Runner up was the
Waupaca layout, followed by Kenosha's G-scale layout (the winners last year).
"WORLD'S GREATEST" AMBASSADORS award went once again to Engine
House Services with Russ, Bill, Dan, Paul, and "the girls" responsible for that
success. Coming up not too far behind however was the Chicago &
Northwestern Historical Society booth!
